What Foleo is

Coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Gemini write a lot of files: specifications, implementation plans, decision records, HTML dashboards, and data exports. Foleo gives you one calm, native place to open, skim, and verify all of it. You point Foleo at a project folder on disk and it renders what is already there — no import step, no hosted workspace, no proprietary format.

Foleo is local-first by design. Your repository stays exactly where Git expects it, agent output never leaves your machine, and the app works without an account. Markdown and HTML editing are part of the desktop app; CSV and TSV files render as readable tables.

Foleo Publish

Foleo Publish is an optional companion service, currently in private beta. It turns a local Markdown file into a shareable, reversible link on foleo.site — publish, update, and unpublish from the Mac app or from the @foleo/cli command line tool, which coding agents can drive with the owner's approval. Access is by invitation while the beta hardens.

Who makes Foleo

Foleo is independently built and maintained. The desktop app is distributed as a free, signed, and notarized macOS download, and the project ships continuously — every release is documented in the public changelog. For questions, feedback, or anything else, email support@foleo.app.
